Maintenance of fire equipment is to ensure that it is fit for purpose, should a fire occur the user can be assured that the equipment will perform as and when required

On completion of maintenance work a “Certificate of Maintenance” is issued which states that the work is completed in accordance with the British Standard BS 5306.
